Week 7: Adventures in Napping
Well, I definitely require a 20 minute nap every day at around 11:00 am. One day when I woke up and went to the office kitchen to get my dose of green tea, the secretary asked me if I hurt myself. She pointed to a dotted bruise on the side of my face. I ran to the bathroom to see what calamity had befallen me, I realized it was the impression from my green stone yoga bracelet. I was basically advertising to the world that I had my face down long enough on my desk to leave a silly putty-like print. Great. To avoid the sweater or bracelet lines etched in my face resulting from my little snooze, I've found that my black quilted leather jacket makes a fine bedfellow. Its really forgiving...and best of all, leaves no imprint!
What Baby is up to: Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about 100 new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.
