Overheard from the Kitchen

Big D: Hey, can I give Baby D a slice of this pepperoni?
Me: No, it's got nitrates, too much salt, he hasn't eaten pork yet, too many preservatives and fat.... {Big D hears Charlie Brown's teacher: wha wha wha wha wha}
Me: {after looking up from the kitchen counter and looking into the living room} WHAT IS HE CHEWING ON?
Big D: What?! I broke it up into small pieces. He likes pepperoni.
Baby D: {smiles and reaches to Dad for another slice}
**Clutching pearls**

  1. Like my mom would say "sometimes you just have to know when to keep your mouth shut". Just keep clutching the pearls. He'll be okay.

  2. Hi there!
    Thanks for the follow on Twitter! I love your blog! What an adorable family you have!!

    I had to laugh at this post. My hubby does this too.. our girls are older now though and they actually tell him NO when he offers them yucky stuff (though my daughter and hubby LOVE pepperoni).

    I guess it's a good thing that 'dadddy' does some special spoiling now and than!

    Have a great weekend! Looking forward to following your blog..

    Oh and very jealous of all your Blogher Swag!! LOL

  3. I am pretty sure I have had this EXACT conversation with my my husband only it was over a soda.

    good times. :)
