Lately, I've been thinking all my daydreaming thoughts in haiku. I was in love with the poetic style when my sixth grade teacher first introduced it to us, but since then, I haven't been haikuing. As I sit here now, with my mind ticking in 5-7-5 meter, I feel like I should try to haiku with you more often. They're short and sweet. And most of the time, they're little inside jokes we've kept only to ourselves. Yet, we tip our hand slightly to share an inch or two of our internal ticker tape - both with sense and nonsense.
I hope to make haiku a weekly feature. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
thank goodness it did
life has had mercy on me
second chances sure are sweet
Do you haiku*?
* Yes, I realize its not a verb. But it probably should be.
