Multi-Grain Cheerios Review and Giveaway!

Its Sunday and I'm putting together my lunch menu. This mom is sick of the sweet treats and afternoon empty-calorie snacks that the co-workers bring in but I often don't have the strength to resist. Add the 3 pm slump and ensuing hunger pangs and you've got recipe for diet disaster. I needed a tasty, fulfilling alternative.

Enter Multi-Grain Cheerios. You are undoubtedly already familiar with our obsession with original Cheerios...but Multi-Grain Cheerios taste even better! The lightly-sweetened mix of grains make it easy for me to grab my whole grains and satisfy my snacking urge. Perfect.

I also started to exercise and add walking into my otherwise sedentary office lifestyle. Yes, mama's got back. And it needs to be reigned it. I've been jumping rope like a lunatic. No, really, I look like a lunatic jumping rope.

Did you know that 95 percent of Americans don't get enough whole grain in their diet?

According to the 2010 Report of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee, only five percent of Americans get the three full recommended daily servings - a shocking statistic.

Only whole grain gives you the vital nutrients from the complete grain. The health benefits of whole grains can't be pinpointed to one particular component of the grain. It's the "whole grain package" that makes the difference. In addition to fiber, whole grain contains antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients that help ensure a healthy diet. A diet high in whole grain has been found to help with diabetes and weight management, and it may help reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers.

Visit www.WholeGrainNation.com for more tips, additional information about the benefits of Whole Grain and how Big G cereals can be a convenient and tasty way to incorporate more whole grain into your day.

  13. Cheerios, of course! :) Actually we try to use whole grains regularly. I usually use at least half whole wheat flour in my baking.
